Urban Rhino awarded Three Stars, a Silver Medal and 91 Points

IT’S raining awards again at Urban Rhino towers as its Rum and Chocolate & Tonka Bean Liqueur both follow its gin onto the podium.

Perhaps the most impressive is two stars in the Great Taste Awards for their African Spiced Rum with the judges admitting they were only a fraction away from awarding the almost unheard of three stars.

The rum has also scored 91 and gained an impressive silver medal in the global International Wine & Spirits Competition (IWSC) – one of the most prestigious spirits competitions in the world.

While the ultra-tasty Chocolate & Tonka Bean Liqueur completes the award season gongs with yet another star in the Great Taste Awards.

Great Taste is the world’s largest and most trusted food and drink accreditation scheme and to get two stars is something very special, meaning it’s officially classed as “outstanding” and “above and beyond delicious”.

While the judges in the IWSC said: “The aroma is a fragrant medley of cinnamon and Christmas spices. On the palate, the same warm spices emerge, layered with a delightful complexity and sweet churros undertones. Balanced, mildly spicy finish.” YUM!

These awards follow a raft of gongs for Urban Rhino Premium London Dry Gin which scooped a gold medal in The Spirits Business Global Spirits Masters and was declared a “winner” in the world’s largest dedicated gin competition, The Gin Guide Awards.
